What's free, exactly? +
A seven-day trial of the full platform with no card, then one device and one profile free forever. Enough to keep a single kiosk running for nothing; add a plan when you have a fleet.
What counts as a device, and what counts as a Windows seat? +
A device is an enrolled Android device that has checked in during the billing month; retired or wiped devices stop counting the day they stop reporting. A Windows seat is a PC seen in the last 30 days, whether it is managed, monitored or both.
Do you charge a platform or admin fee? +
No. Per active device, per Windows seat, and that's the whole bill. Admin seats are unlimited on every plan.
How does the 3-year plan work? +
One payment covers three years at half the monthly rate: $1.25 per device and $2 per Windows seat, per month. Device slots and seats stay adjustable as your fleet changes, and if you switch to monthly or yearly billing later, the change takes effect when the paid period ends.
Can we run it on our own servers? +
Not yet. Self-hosted deployment, SSO and custom retention are on the Enterprise roadmap, so we list them as planned rather than sold. Tell us what you need and we'll say when.
How long is data kept? +
Device telemetry and the audit log stay with the workspace. For Monitor, activity is kept for 90 days, screenshots for 30 days and workstation timelines for 90 days, then swept nightly. Forgetting a workstation removes it from the fleet.
What happens if we cancel? +
Your devices keep working; management stops. You can export your fleet data first, and unenrol devices cleanly from the console before you go.
How are Windows PCs billed? +
A Windows seat is $4 per PC per month, $3.20 on the annual plan and $2 on the 3-year plan. It covers Windows MDM and Monitor together, and counts PCs seen in the last 30 days, whether they are managed, monitored or both.
Do you need our Google account or EMM registration? +
No. DeviceDesk uses Android's device-owner architecture directly: no Google EMM registration, no managed Play requirement, and it works on devices without Play Services.
